October 9 Part 1

So there might be two posts today but I don't care because pretty much nothing today has gone as planned, and that is one of my biggest pet peeves.  Started off with going home, I was supposed to get picked up around one.  Keep in mind that I'd made plans to go through and visit all of the people that I haven't seen a several months because we all went our separate ways and to different colleges.  Get to my mother's boyfriend's house and it's there that I find out we aren't leaving until tomorrow.  Not only are we not leaving tomorrow, we aren't leaving until late tomorrow.  So all the friends that I was going to meet up with at church tomorrow I won't be able to see.  Scratch that off my to-do list.

After that I was going to go to my grandmother's house because I have a lot of sewing to be done and very little time to do it.  So I was banking on having several hours tomorrow afternoon and most of Monday to get at least one my projects assembled because if I could get them assembled then I can do the hand sewing and decorations at my dorm, and maybe they would've gotten done on time.  Scratch that off my to-do list... I will be very fortunate to get half of it done.  So now I will have even less time to do what I didn't really have time to do anyway.

So when I got back Monday evening, I was supposed to catch a few hours with a close friend because she can't miss school on Tuesday.  However, I need to spend even longer at my grandmother's to attempt to get my project done.  So scratch that off my to-do list.

So my pretty much perfectly planned weekend has pretty much gone up in flames before getting flushed down the toilet.  All because my mother can't bear to leave her boyfriend alone for one day out of the weekend.

Don't get me wrong, I love my family and my mother's boyfriend and his kids.  However, I very much dislike having my plans messed up.  Mostly I'm flexible, not this weekend.  This was the one time before Christmas that I'd be able to see everyone and hang out.  Not even sure if we can do that at Christmas because we will probably get snowed in.

Hope the rest of your weekends are going better,

Brianna
