October 5

Yes I didn't get yesterday's post posted I apologize!  Eventually I will get this down and I'll be able to stop apologizing.

Today was just one of those days where you don't want to go to school, but you know you have to go anyway.  I survived so it's all good!  My books from the library FINALLY came in!  I've been so bored these last few weeks because I didn't want to bring any of my books because I wasn't sure if I'd have space for them.  Well I got to school and discovered that we have a TINY fiction section.  So all of my books have to be ordered from other schools across the state Ohio, but hey I get books to read!

We're learning a French song in choir, and I discovered something... I suck at French!  Like really bad, add a fast tempo and odd melodies and you have the realization that I have a problem!  Oh well, I will get it figured out eventually.

Got the classes I need for spring semester.  Most college students would kill for this schedule, I would kill to change it.  I will only have one class Monday through Thursday and the latest I will go to school is noon.  As I said most college kids would love that, but I'm not much of a spread out person.  I'd rather have my classes in blocks a few days a week.  I also have to drop women's chorus, but hopefully, I'll be able to get a job and start paying off some of these crazy student loans!

Started my internship teaching today, I'm mentoring with an after school program with five students.  Five students to three teachers makes for a little boredom sometimes, but it's a good experience and these kids will get a very personalized experience.  It's fascinating to observe a new classroom, learn the dynamics.  The chance to watch a child interact with their environment and be able to be a part of their lives is amazing to say the least.  Just watching the students grow through the year, both academically and personally is crazy!  Sometimes it's hard to believe the student in front of you is the same student you met at the beginning of the year.  Today was my first day at this particular school and I can already tell I'm going to have a really hard time saying goodbye.  I think that's what I'll struggle with most as a teacher is letting my students go at the end of the year, I just fall in love with my students then I have to leave and I cry for hours!  Eventually I'll learn to get over that, I hope.

Well it was an interesting day so I guess we'll see what tomorrow holds.
