April 25

So it's been a long time.  Almost a semester actually.  This whole semester has been rather crazy which has led to the lack of posting.  So in a sort of condensed form here's spring 2011.  In January I got a job on campus.  I take notes and administer tests for students with disabilities, so that's been interesting and I've met a lot of people.  I spent a weekend on a get-a-way with Cru and spent an afternoon in Blood and Crypt territory cleaning up house lots, rescuing kittens and making friends with snakes.  I came home and had thirteen new friend requests on facebook, so  it's safe to say that I had a pretty good weekend.

Speaking of friends, I made another one.  He's Hungarian and has the coolest accent ever!  He also has a radio show on campus which is pretty awesome.  The reason I bring him up in his own little category is because he isn't like most of my other friends.  We've known each other for almost a week and half and well I trust him more then I do a majority of people on the planet.  He trusts me too.  It's been awesome to get to know him and I'm curious to find out how much more we have in common!

My other two friends moved into their new apartment and adopted a little black Pomeranian puppy.  We named her Aphrodite and call her Fru-Fru for short.  Well little miss Fru-Fru is growing like a weed and bites everything.  It's been a while since I've seen something so cute!

I spent Easter at home and realized just how much I don't do on campus.  These kids wear me out!  They started at 6:30 in the morning and were still going strong when I left around 5:30 in the afternoon.  How do you keep up with that?!  It's not even that they were just up, they were everywhere!  There is a reason children are called curtain climbers!  Add the insane amount of candy the "Easter Bunny" left, and well, I'm sure you can imagine the ensuing chaos!

Speaking of the Easter holidays, I went home on Friday to babysit.  I get a text-message from my grandfather (that's right I just used text message and grandfather in the same sentence) asking if I was home from school yet.  I said that I was and he replied that in that case he was inviting himself over for dinner.  I'm thinking this is fine, I'm making lasagna so there will be more then enough to go around. Two seconds later I receive another text, "We're having spaghetti right?".  Well me being the person who doesn't think things through heartily agrees that spaghetti is fine.  So I go to the basement to get the jar of homemade spaghetti sauce, only to discover I'd used it already.  So I grabbed a couple jars of canned tomatoes to make the sauce on my own.  I run upstairs and check to make sure that we have noodles.  We don't.  So now I have a pot of sauce on the stove and no noodles.  So I call all my friends and finally find one who has noodles.  So I throw the kids in the car and rush to get them.  I get home and go to pull the meatballs out of the freezer, we don't have any.  So I rocket around the kitchen to get everything made when there's a knock on my door.  My grandfather comes in and says "I'm ready for the lasagna."  I kid you not, I froze.  The sauce was boiling on the stove, I'm rolling a meatball, and the stolen noodles are on the counter.  He looks around at the kitchen and explains that he called my mom who told him we didn't have the stuff for spaghetti, and that I was making lasagna.  He was perfectly ok with that.  So here I am cooking and running desperately to make a meal that was totally unexpected.  Moral of the story?  Don't agree to make spaghetti unless you're sure you have all the stuff!

I had a final today, one of two.  If I didn't get an A plus I'm shocked.  It was so easy and funnily enough, it ticked me off.  The fact that the professor was so lazy that they didn't even want to create an accurate test to test our knowledge on the subject was quite aggravating.  Oh well, it's over and done... and I probably shouldn't complain about the easy stuff.

Well I haven't gone to bed before midnight since I don't remember when.  So I think I may try that tonight and try to post again tomorrow.

Goodnight,
Brianna
