November 12

So yesterday was eventful and crazy (best kind of day right?).  Since University was off for Veteran's Day, pretty much we all took advantage of a Thursday with no classes.  Started off with a trip to "the Castle" (one of the homes of CRU leaders... huge and kind of castle-like!) for Mug-n-Muffin.  Basically, girls all meet her, bring their own mugs and have coffee and hot chocolate and just talk about life and issues.  Think support group on massive (and I mean MASSIVE) steroids and you have the gist of what went down!

Also, for my birthday I'm getting my ear pierced (again), I was just waiting for my friend to text me and say "let's go".  So we are at Mug-n-Muffin and all the sudden she says "Ready to go get your piercing?"  I agreed so we run back to the dorm, convince a whole group of girls to come with us and also get piercings, and head out.  Picture a suburban full of girls ages 19-20.  Literally every seat was full!  With an hour long drive ahead of us what did we do?  Yes that would be sing/scream Taylor Swift.  It was pretty epic if I do say so myself!  So we get to the piercing place and I realize I didn't bring my driver's license.  So no piercing for me, but the other girls got their's done so now I was able to see it and realize it wasn't so bad and I'll get mine sometime next week.  Really excited for it, but kind of scared too!

So we get back to the dorm, 20 minutes after my birthday party was supposed to have started.  So I literally have just enough time to frost the cake and flip on the 'Wicked' soundtrack before all the girls show up to my dorm.  So eight girls in a room with chocolate cake and a camera was pretty fun.  Until I had to wash the dishes after... but it was worth it!

Also got a another layer sewn on my quilt, looks like I may (miracle of miracles) get it done in time to finish over Thanksgiving break!  I just have to deal with numb and bleeding finger tips (as long as I don't get blood on the quilt, it's a fair price to pay!).  It does look good though!  I'll post a picture here after I get it finished and delivered!

Can't wait to see what today holds (headed to the mall with a few girls)
